Church Acts 2-42 Corp (“Church Acts 2:42,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through acts2-42.church and the services linked from it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us
We only collect information you choose to share with us, such as when you:
- Send a message or sign up (contact, plan-a-visit, baptism and baby dedication, and Get involved forms). These forms open your own email app and send your message to engage@acts2-42.church. They may include your name, email, phone number and the details you write.
- Take the spiritual gifts assessment or share your gifts, profession, hobbies and availability so we can help you find a place to serve.
- Share a prayer request through our prayer board, which may include your first name, email, phone number (optional) and your request.
- Give online through our giving partner, which collects your name, email, address and payment details to process your gift and send your receipt.
How we use your information
- To respond to you, pray for you and provide pastoral care.
- To help you get connected, serve and grow in your faith.
- To process gifts and send giving receipts and year-end statements.
- To keep membership and attendance records for the life and care of the church.
- To share church news and events, only if you ask to receive them.
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Prayer requests
When you share a prayer request, you choose who may see it:
- Pastors only: kept confidential and seen only by our pastors.
- Pastors and our prayer team: seen by our pastors and a small team committed to prayer and confidentiality.
- Our public prayer board: posted on our website only after our pastors review it. Only your first name (or “Anonymous”) and the wording approved by our pastors are shown. Your email and phone number are never shown publicly.
When someone taps the heart on a board request, the first name they enter may be shown as one of the people agreeing in prayer. Board requests are removed from public view after about 30 days. You may ask us to remove your request at any time.
Services we use
We use trusted providers to run our website and ministry tools. They handle information only to provide their service to us:
- GitHub Pages: hosts this website.
- Base44: runs our prayer request and prayer board app.
- Zeffy: processes online gifts and receipts. We never see or store your full card or bank details.
- Microsoft 365: our church email.
- Planning Center: our church membership and check-in records.
- Google Maps and Google Fonts: show our map and the fonts on this site.
Each provider has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read. Links to our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) are governed by those platforms’ policies.
Cookies
Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some embedded services, such as the map, prayer board and giving form, may use cookies or similar tools to work properly.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Children’s ministry and check-in information is provided by a parent or guardian and is used only for the safety and care of children.
How we protect your information
We limit access to the people who need it to serve you, such as our pastors and authorized ministry leaders, and we use reputable providers with security safeguards. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share.
Your choices
You may ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, remove a prayer request, or stop receiving messages from us at any time. Email us at engage@acts2-42.church or call (321) 401-7025.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
